Hello! I am Chef Vasily Shichkov experienced in the world’s most discerning kitchens. I bring the art of fine dining into the intimacy of your home with uncompromising passion for culinary excellence — a passion that brought me to the heart of the American fine dining scene.

I honed my craft in some of the DMV area’s most prestigious establishments, including the Park Hyatt Washington and The Ritz-Carlton.

It is my pleasure to present my vision of modern American fusion cuisine which is based on a fresh local seasonal product, modern techniques, American classical recipes, some Asian and French accents, and my spirit and soul.

Every dish reflects not only technique but storytelling — a private culinary journey inspired by my international heritage and refined through years of elite service.

    Dinner was excellent. We loved the oysters, the shrimp cocktail was slightly spicy and excellent. This was a first time for most having borscht, the presentation was just as shown in photos, great croutons. The fillet with mushroom risotto was great, and I don’t really like mushrooms! He was on time, clean, and professional. Would certainly use Vasily again.

    We were all so happy with Chef Vasily! What a great to have someone cook and clean for our group of 10. There was not a drop of soup, a morsel of food, or a crumb left after each course. If the need ever arises again, I will use this service and request Chef Vasily!!!!

    Chef Vasily was a star! He was extremely accommodating to my dietary preferences (I hosted a thanksgiving dinner party where half the guests were vegan and half weren’t.) I actually went back and forth with him multiple times about revisions to the menu and the event, and he was still so pleasant about it all. He arrived exactly on time, worked very diligently, and served the most delicious food I’ve ever had cooked by a private chef. He was so gracious and professional. I highly recommend him and will reach out to him for my future events!

    Our experience with Chef Vasily was top notch. He was extremely professional and an absolute pleasure to have at my home. He was accommodating to my picky eating needs and even prepare a separate salad course for me. The food was amazing as well. There we a couple of us that don't normally like beets, but his Borscht is absolutely incredible. He also brought in a server that was very professional and a pleasure to have as well. This was the perfect experience for my wife's 50th birthday.
