My passion for Culinary Arts has taken me on a delicious journey across the world to explore many different cultures and cuisines. I specialize in creating vibrant, delicious, and nourishing meals using high quality local and seasonal ingredients. I began my training upon graduating Culinary Arts school in 2003 in refined luxury service at The Ritz Carlton. As lead line cook at the famous Grill Restaurant I was able to perfect my Culinary Art skills. Since that time I have worked at many of Washington, top hotels and restaurants to include: Rosewood Hotel, Cut by Wolfgang Puck, MGM, Fish by Jose Andrés, and most recently Chef Tournant in New York at The Carlyle Hotel. As a dedicated, professional person with mentorship by the most skilled and the experience, knowledge, network and credentials I’ve earned across my career. I began to get into personal Chef catering within the Washington area. I have been featured numerous times on many platforms and local News Networks such as Fox 5 Lions Lunch Hour, National Television, Channel 7News Goodmorning Washington, and iheart❤️ Radio. Since becoming a personal Chef and opening my company I have prepared meals in Celebrity client homes as well as Washington’s Elite. I have become very fond of Personal Chef cooking and now making my services available to you!

My 13th year anniversary was last Sunday, 9/21. My wife and I had to bring our 9 year old daughter to DC for a film festival. We are from NJ. The festival was on 9/20, so I decided to plan a dinner for that night. I used the Table at Home site in search of a chef. Chef Tiya. responded to my request immediately. Let's be clear, I did this on Thursday night. She provided me a southern menu at my request. She was very flexible with my changes to the menu.Fast forward to Saturday. She said she will be there at 5 and she was there at 5! She was pure joy! Made us feel like we had a cousin that happens to be a Chef that is serious about her business! We had a 5 course meal and it was amazing! Started with a butter board, followed by broccoli and cheddar soup, then an amazing Kale salad, followed by Salmon/Lamb chops/mac and cheese and string beans. Talk about stuffed! However, we were not done! Lol. She treated our taste buds to her banana pudding and that almost took us out.. We had a ball! She explained every dish before serving us. Tiya is the real deal and her personality makes the food taste even better. A very pleasant and professional person. I highly recommend using her services! We Thank You, Tiya!
