My name is Joseph Goodman and I am a professionally trained chef with over ten years of experience in the food and beverage industry. I am an incredibly driven and passionate person. My passion for food started at a very young age. My family owned and operated a small organic farm in Maryland. Some of my first vivid food memories are of harvesting crops and tending to the honey bees on this farm. In my adult life, I quickly learned that I could use my passion for food to bring people together and to spread joy.
I am the type of person that is most happy when I am able to make others happy. Through cooking, I am able to use my talent to bring happiness to others. I have spent the past decade singularly focused on mastering my craft as a cook and sous chef for top restaurants in the Washington, area. I have been fortunate enough to work alongside some of the most talented professionals in my industry. I am a sponge and have seized every opportunity to absorb knowledge from my mentors and my colleagues. This mentality does not stop at the workplace, as I am constantly cooking, researching, and experimenting with food in my time off.
Through my years of working in professional kitchens, I have honed my approach to food. I cook from scratch and find ways to use the entirety of a product with minimal waste.
