About Me

I am a professional cook who just graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Food Business Management from the Culinary Institute of America with a specialty in Italian Cuisine. I have spent the past six years, both before and during school, growing my knowledge and skills as a chef. I have worked in various restaurants around the world both full time and as part of long-term internship programs. These include Noma in Copenhagen, Denmark, Dinner by Heston Blumenthal in London, Ristorante Peppe Zullo in Italy, and locally Trummer’s on Main in Clifton, Virginia. I have travelled throughout Europe and the United States in pursuit of knowledge and experience. Most recently, I spent four months in Italy studying from renowned Italian chef Odette Fada. I am highly proficient and creative in the use of ingredients, including locally-sourced ingredients, and can adapt to any dietary requirements. I am also well-versed in wines and wine pairing for different dishes and meals.

  • Iulian prepared an outstanding meal- it was exactly what I envisioned. We had some initial hiccups - rain, traffic delays, ingredients that needed to be bought - but he handled those like a pro, and everything was right on track. He was unobtrusive, too, so though his cooking stood out, he stayed in the background so we could enjoy our conversation.

  • Julian was very punctual, and well prepared. As he presented each course he provided a brief description of what it consisted of. And after the meal was complete, Julian had everything cleaned up. He was also very professional. We will definitely utilize the services again.
