Hi! My name is Tina & I’m new to the Table At Home family!
I am driven by the joy and satisfaction that my family and friends get from my cooking. I strive to always create something that is hearty, nutritious and delicious. I come from an Italian family where the food we make doesn’t just feed our bodies but feeds our souls, as cliche as it sounds. I want every meal I create to give my clients that feeling of complete satisfaction while also transporting them to a time where they had their favorite dish and all the emotion that comes along with it.
I have been cooking since I was 11 and my style has transformed from your typical Italian dishes to more healthy comfort food. My husband has a lot to do with this because he is someone who is very particular about nutritional quality. I try as much as possible to enable nutritional quality by making sure our food is coming from a reliable source which has required me to become more & more creative in how we were eating. It has challenged me to open my eyes and palate to many different flavor profiles and ingredients I would have looked over because it wasn’t in my wheelhouse.
I have some formal training in the Culinary Arts from Kendall College here in Chicago. Since then I have strived to make myself better and hone my skills in my daily cooking. I am a full-time nanny to a picky eater and have recently been cooking for a friends book club meetings, designing each menu to fit the theme and style of the book. It’s helped me be more creative and innovative in my meal prep and presentation.
