About Me

Born and raised in Valence, France, my passion and respect for food began at the age of 14. I have an extensive background that started with my training in Valence, which led to wonderful opportunities in Lyon, New York City and now San Diego. For the past 20 years, I have worked side by side with some of the most talented chefs in the industry, and I have cooked at several notable restaurants, including Le Passage in Lyon and Benoit New York, an Alain Ducasse restaurant. Now as a personal chef, I blend my wisdom, devotion, and experience into every dish I create.

Classically trained in French cuisine, I value refined techniques, careful preparation, and artful plating. My passion for food comes from my love of fresh ingredients and unique flavor combinations. I make everything from scratch, which is integral to my dishes.

I travel back to France when time allows to further explore the local culinary flavors so I can bring them back to you. And I also make it a priority to take additional master courses to expand my knowledge of new cooking techniques.

Your dinner event will be intimate and special and I will describe each course tableside. I take great pride in my dishes and would love to work with you as your personal chef in San Diego to design an innovative and memorable event for you, your family, and friends.

  • Chef Yoann gave us not only a great dinner, but a great experience. His plating is beautiful and rivals many of the 5 star restaurants I've been to. He brings his own plates in order to ensure a great presentation. He also provided us with fresh French baguettes and a written menu card for each place setting free of charge. He described each dish as he served and cleaned up efficiently and completely when he was finished. If you want high level french food with a restaurant experience in your own home, Chef Yoann is a perfect fit.
