About Me

My name is Chef Tiya and I’m a local Chef of the Washington, area. My passion for Culinary Arts has taken me on a delicious journey across the world to explore many different cultures and cuisines. I specialize in creating vibrant, delicious, and nourishing meals using high quality local and seasonal ingredients. I began my training upon graduating Culinary Arts school in 2003 in refined luxury service at The Ritz Carlton. As lead line cook at the famous Grill Restaurant I was able to perfect my Culinary Art skills. Since that time I have worked at many of Washington, top hotels and restaurants to include: Rosewood Hotel, Cut by Wolfgang Puck, MGM, Fish by Jose Andrés, and most recently Chef Tournant in New York at The Carlyle Hotel. As a dedicated, professional person with mentorship by the most skilled and the experience, knowledge, network and credentials I’ve earned across my career. I began to get into personal Chef catering within the Washington area. I have been featured numerous times on many platforms and local News Networks such as Fox 5 Lions Lunch Hour, National Television, Channel 7News Goodmorning Washington, and iheart❤️ Radio. Since becoming a personal Chef and opening my company I have prepared meals in Celebrity client homes as well as Washington’s Elite. I have become very fond of Personal Chef cooking and now making my services available to you!

    Chef Atiya is amazing. She made a delicious Carribean meal for my Wifes birthday and catered to us and made it very accommodating for my wife who was 40 weeks pregnant. If I could give ten starts I would. The desert in pineapple was amazing!

    Chef Atiya was great! Prior to the event, she was responsive via email and text. She arrived 2hr prior to dinner to prep. All the food was delicious!!! The kitchen was spotless when she left. I definitely recommend her, and will use her services again.

    We hosted Chef Atiya for a small birthday dinner and it might have been the best party we've ever hosted! The food was AMAZING - our friends are still talking about it weeks later. The crab curry soup was a particular highlight as well as the baked pineapple cheesecake - truly delicious and something we haven't seen anywhere else. Would highly recommend her for any and all catering opportunities, you won't regret it.

    Chef Tiya turned my vision into a delicious reality. She was accommodating to my menu changes during the party planning process and arrived exactly when she said she would. The house smelled amazing as guests began to arrive. Chef Tiya was incredibly friendly and presented a magnificent display and left my kitchen cleaner than she found it. All my guests were impressed and I will definitely work with her again. If you’re looking for a unique and delicious spread, Chef Tiya has it.

    I went through several proposals before deciding to go with Chef Tiya because she resonated with me the most. She was attentive to making some adjustments to the menu due to allergies and different preferences of my guests. Communication leading up to my private dinner was very responsive. Chef Tiya also assisted me with finding a bartender who was equally amazing.

    The food was simply delicious. We had a 4 course surf n turf meal. The platting, taste and portions were perfect. I also enjoyed how she explained each meal to us before we dived in. And she left my kitchen as clean as she met it.

    Great personality, highly professional, and a great Chef to hire. We highly recommend Chef Tiya and I’ll definitely be using her again.

    Chef Tiya is very professional! The Brunch Extravaganza for 10 people was IMPECCABLE! Her and Kenneth were super nice, hospitable, and efficient. The food was done in a timely matter, everything was just amazing! There were no complaints from any of my guest. Will be recommending her to everyone and contacting her again!

    Chef Tiya was incredible. I hired chef Tiya for an anniversary dinner for my wife and I, and I can easily say it was the best meal I’ve ever had. Everything was fresh, cooked well, and tasted delicious. Chef Tiya made sure to describe each dish, making sure everything was cooked to our liking. Not only was the food delicious, but chef Tiya was a pleasure to work with. She was very respectful while being in our home, and made it feel like we were at a 5 star restaurant. I will DEFINITELY be hiring Chef Tiya next year, and hope to make it an anniversary tradition!
