About Me

Most recently Executive Chef for Marriott international. Over 15 years experience in large party banquets and catering to fine dining restaurants.
I first started learning to cook under my father who was a Chef and Restaurateur in Austin. I started working in my fathers kitchens when I was 14 years old. In my early 20’s I decided to take my culinary career to the next level and move to Washington DC to work in restaurants by world famous Chefs Jean-George and Wolfgang Puck. I then moved to San Francisco to work under Michelin starred Chef Hiro Sone and Michael Rotundo who achieved two Michelin stars working for Charlie Trotters in Chicago. From there I moved to San Diego to start focusing on banquets and catering functions working for Marriott international and consulting for the Pendry hotel where I created the entire banquet menu. Most recently held position as Executive Chef for Marriott in La Jolla.

  • Our meal and overall experience with Chef Eric was outstanding ! Eric was so easy to work ahead of the event and throughout the event . He was able to meet all of our food restrictions and incorporate our choices . The food was so fresh and so delicious . Eric also gave tips and answered questions throughout the evening and made all of us feel so comfortable .

  • Chef Eric was very communicative, flexible with our customization options, and very professional in his presentation. The food was all excellent, but the butternut squash bisque really blew us away. He had the right balance of being present when we needed him and then left us be when we wanted to enjoy our meal. We had some toasts and breaks planned between our courses and Eric worked around our timetable really well. Highly recommended!

  • As a large group of people all in the hospitality industry, we can be critical. Chef Eric impressed this tough group. The courses were perfectly executed with great flavors. Not only was the food presentation beautiful, Chef Eric came equipped to our rental home with table settings to complete the dinner celebration! Well done!

  • Wow wow wow. Chef Eric knocked the ball out of the park with this one. We enjoyed a 6 course menu that was kicked off with a beautiful tomato burrata salad. He even had some gluten free baguettes to make the crostini’s for me. Went to shrimp scampi then to risotto from there. Both were executed upon flawlessly. I have enjoyed dinners from 1-3 Michelin stars. Risotto can be a tricky dish to get right even for the best, well trained chefs. He crushed it. Then some braised short rib and fettuccine Alfredo with a poached egg. Dinner was great for all the guests and a coconut pannacotta for me with gluten issues. He rocked it all and gave me the heads up on the menu so I could pair wines. What a fantastic way to enjoy a fine dinner in the comforts of your own home during these challenging times. Thank you Chef Eric and thank you to table at home for the intro!!

  • Absolutely amazing. Eric and his Sous-chef came to our house, first time we’ve ever had a chef come to our house, and they were incredible. It was a party of 4, celebrating my parents anniversary. I typically don’t write reviews but they deserve it. We had a Japanese cuisine. I would highly recommend them.

  • The service from chef Eric was amazing for my birthday celebration. The appetizers and the entree, to the desert was all so delicious. I appreciate the great communication especially on short notice, he executed everything and met my expectations. Quality service, quality food! I highly recommend and I definitely plan on hiring him for my future events.

  • Had the pleasure of eating a spectacular meal cooked by Chef Eric. It was AMAZING! I surprised my husband for his birthday. I knew he wanted a fine dining steak house but since restaurants were closed at the time due to Covid, this was the perfect alternative. And even more unforgettable! He went above and beyond by printing menus and adding little extras that really made the experience special. Not to mention insanely delicious! Highly recommend.
