My name is Kashi, I am 37 years old. My love for food started in Dominican Republic where I was born & raised until I came here as a pre teen. I went to culinary school but dropped out less than a semester later, experience & passion trumps a piece of paper any day. My first job was working for Mario Batalli, from there Aqua Grill, the master grill chef at the re opening of Central Parks Tavern On The Green, to being a finalist on Alton Browns Chopped Challenge. Amongst many more restaurants & experiences. I am currently a chef at The Mandarin Oriental and live at home with my Standard Poodle Disco, which I named after my favorite music. My cooking expertise is in seafood, Classic American grilling, and Asian fusion .
